Camusat Group, in partnership with MTN Cameroon, today inaugurated a new-generation telecom site powered by its TWESCO industrial model, marking a significant milestone in the deployment of sustainable and integrated digital infrastructure in the region.

The inauguration took place in Japoma in the presence of Camusat Group President & CEO Richard Thomas, Managing Director of Camusat Cameroon Karim Chekroun, MTN Cameroon CEO Wanda Matandela, local authorities, and members of the community.

This inauguration reflects a shift from traditional infrastructure deployment toward a fully integrated, long-term model, combining financing, deployment, and operations to deliver reliable, scalable, and lower-carbon connectivity solutions.

Designed to support increasing demand for data and network coverage, the TWESCO model enables MTN to expand their footprint more efficiently while improving energy performance and reducing environmental impact. The initiative contributes directly to the development of inclusive and resilient digital ecosystems in Cameroon.

This inauguration is more than a site launch. It is the concrete illustration of a new industrial infrastructure model,” said Richard Thomas, CEO of Camusat Group. “With TWESCO, we align investment, operational expertise, and long-term performance to accelerate connectivity while delivering measurable environmental and social impact. We are proud to partner with MTN on this milestone project in Cameroon.

MTN Cameroon CEO Wanda Matandela emphasized “The TWESCO model supports our ambition to connect more communities faster and in a more sustainable way, making digital access a powerful driver of inclusion and economic growth in Cameroon. It fully aligns with our vision of responsible digital development, serving communities, businesses, and territories while reducing our environmental footprint.

Through this collaboration, Camusat and MTN reaffirm their shared ambition to accelerate digital inclusion while supporting the transition toward more sustainable telecom infrastructure across Africa.

The TWESCO model is fully aligned with Camusat’s ESG commitments, focusing on decarbonization, energy efficiency, and long-term infrastructure performance, while enabling operators to meet growing connectivity needs in a responsible and cost-effective way.
